Woke up at 7:15am, had chocolate cereal for breakfast, then drove to school. When I was walking from the parking to the school entrance, the 1st graders were all out watering their tulip seeds (so cute) and they all burst into a chorus of massive “HELLOOOOO”s and “SEEEE YOUUUUUUU”s. Cuties. First up today was 4-1 in period 1, and it was a really good lesson! They remembered most of the job vocabulary learnt from last week. They loved playing Concentration, and were playing it really properly too (properly asking each other “What do you want to be?” and answering “I want to be a *the job card they drew*”). After we finished Concentration they were all saying how much fun it was. Then we got onto the worksheets where they wrote their dream jobs in English, and also a simple reason in English (“I like airplanes” “I like cooking” “I like cake”). 4-2 was also just as good, I just can’t get over how smooth the lessons for 4th grade are this year! There were 2 kids who kinda got into an argument with each other, but they just really don't get along well, so I think their homeroom teacher will separate them soon (or change the seating plan around). 4-3 in period 3 and they were perfect again. We finished early with 5 minutes to spare, so their teacher allowed us to end the lesson early, and let them go outside since I think they’re doing some sort of temperature experiment.

Lunch with 5-2 again today and it was really fun. Their teacher had written on the board “Ask Jaime-sensei questions: Do you like… Do you have… Do you want…” it was really cute! One of the kids got started asking straight away – “Do you like Star Wars?” “Do you like Darth Vadar?” “Do you like Shingeki no Kyojin?”. We had a frozen pineapple today as the fruit portion, and all the kids were giving hilarious reactions, saying it was too cold. It was super refreshing though, cause today was super hot. 6-1 in period 5 with the JHS JTE present today. It was a much better lesson than last week’s Friday one, and I was actually really pleased with everyone today cause they were all putting in their best effort, despite the hot weather. We practiced asking about each others’ birthdays, played the keyword game, missing game, and then the Stereo game. They also really liked the Stereo game, and it was super cute because it got everyone involved. The kids who never put up their hands, put up their hands for this, so I was really happy. Had some quick meetings with the JHS JTE, and one 1st grade teacher, and then got off work at 16:00.
