Yay it’s the weekend! Woke up early today at 7:15am to catch the 8:24am train to Tokyo. Arrived at Shibuya Station at 10:10, and headed to Hachiko to meet up with my friends from back when I exchanged at Kyoto University! We first went to a photography exhibition being held on the 7th and 8th floor of a department store in Shibuya. It was actually really cool! The photographer shoots really cool pictures of all the different tribes and groups of people in Africa, India, Ethiopia, and so on. Her photos were really vivid and colourful, it was some great photography. After we finished seeing the exhibition, we walked over to Omotesando, had some coffee while waiting for another friend to arrive from Chiba, and then had lunch at this café/afternoon tea place. I’d seen this place before when I was exploring Omotesando with my mum when she came in November, and had always wanted to go back to try their French toast and Fairy tea! If I’m being very honest, the food was pretty average though woops…Aoyama Flower Market teahouse (in the same area) is way better. We sat and chatted for quite a while, catching up with where everyone is at in their lives!
After that we said bye to one of our friends who had to leave first, and then went to look for the flower ice cream pop up store, also in Omotesando. Luckily there wasn’t a line at all when we went, and we were easily able to get the ice cream! Turns out they were soymilk soft serves! We then walked to Meiji-jingu, and then had dinner and did some earring window-shopping at Shinjuku. I then took the train home, but there was a major delay because of an incident with a bicycle? So I had to wait at Omiya station in Saitama prefecture for ages. Finally got home around midnight!
