Woke up at 7:15am, had rice for breakfast, then set off for school. First up today was 2-2 in period 2, and the lesson started off well, they played karuta nicely, but then it kind of fell apart once we started trying to play the gesture relay, since they couldn't get the idea of a relay. 2-1 in period 3 and it was much better because I got rid of the relay part of the gesture game, and we just played normal charades which the kids loved. They were hilarious acting out “sick” (we were doing feelings today) by lying on the floor and closing their eyes haha. There were a few tears during karuta though, for this class! 2-3 in period 4 and it was also very good, one kid pulled the funniest face ever when acting out “hungry” for charades. I feel like 2-3’s lessons goes the best too because their homeroom teacher is really involved in the lesson. Lunch with 6-2 today and there was one moment where their homeroom teacher told them to ask me questions, and they fired the most random ones like “How much do you weigh?” “When are you going back to NZ?” “Do you have a boyfriend” (I don't know how many times they’ve asked this by now!) and what my favourite/disliked foods are.

Cleaning time was super adorable today because it was a new group of kids, and 2 of the girls who were cleaning here last week came to help “teach” the new kids, and it was just so cute because they were teaching them so seriously! The kids who were “learning” were also cleaning very seriously too. Spent the spare periods 5 and 6 prepping stuff for tomorrow’s lessons. Got off work at 16:20 and spent the rest of the evening editing photos and videos from this weekend!
