I love school lunch

Woke up at 7:15am, had rice and soup for breakfast, and set off for school. Spent the first half of the day finally finishing off the English classroom cards. Now that those are all completely finished, I can move onto some serious lesson planning and prep! Made sure I had all the materials needed for all of next week’s lessons, and that lasted me until lunchtime. Lunch today was a croissant, very delicious spaghetti (it was like restaurant level!) and soup. Cleaning time was a breeze again and the kids very adorably asked me if they could use the brooms today. Class with 6-2 in period 5, and it was a very good lesson in my opinion. It’s quite amazing, the transformation the kids go through once they become 6th graders! I mean, they were only 5th graders a few weeks ago, but it seems just gaining the title of “6th graders” really makes them mature and settle down. Greetings were done nice and loudly, a lot of the kids tried their absolute best during the worksheet activity (which was probably a little hard, but I wanted to push them, and they did actually super great!). I think the most noticeable change is how well the kids listen now, and how little we have to tell them to quiet down, and the speed with which they do quiet down, and actually stay quiet. There was one pretty cute moment in class when one of the girls was showing me the air bubble in her glue bottle, and I said “bubble” and they found that really funny and kept repeating the word over and over again haha. At least they learnt a new word! My JTE was also telling me about how the 2nd graders (last year’s baby 1st graders) were asking “When will we have English class?” cause English starts for the lower grades next week, and they thought I’d left or something haha. Cuties. Got off work at 16:20 and went home. Went out again after 19:00 to get some groceries.
