Typhoon Weekend

21/10 Saturday

Another rainy weekend because of the typhoon. So weird having a typhoon in autumn. Slept in till 10:00am and then woke up, had breakfast, then went to the bank to update my bank book and to pay rent and stuff cause payday was yesterday! After the bank, I went to Aeon Mall to meet up with some ALT friends. I also needed to buy some stuff too – heattech undershirts from Uniqlo cause it is getting cold much much earlier than I expected, and also some winter pyjamas since I didn't have any. Also ended up buying a really nice pillow from the same shop that I bought the pyjamas from! And a fluffy cardigan to wear at school. Went home for dinner instead of eating out to try save a bit of money! The rain was really picking up on the drive home so you could definitely tell the typhoon was coming.

22/10 Sunday

My cold has fully developed into a fully blocked nose and blocked ears. Went to the supermarket to get groceries since Sunday mornings have bonus points (5x the usual!). Stocked up on a lot of vegetables and pork so that I can make nabe (hotpot). After that I just went home and rested to try get better for tomorrow.

23/10 Monday

So yesterday around 13:30 I received an email from the school that said school will be cancelled for today. This meant that no students would be in, but staff still have to be in for work, otherwise you have to take leave and treat it as a holiday. I decided to take sick leave since I really was sick, but I went in to school to get some stuff for tomorrow’s office day at another school. After that I just went home and rested up!
